Biography
Sharad Adekar, MD, PhD, CIP, is a lead medical chair at WCG and a physician scientist with clinical experience in family practice and pediatrics, with research experience in immunology, oncology, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, and neurology. He received his medical degree (MBBS, MD) from B.J. Medical College in Pune, India, and worked on his PhD thesis at Thomas Jefferson University. He received his PhD from the University of Pune. Dr. Adekar has extensive experience in human antibodies in terms of discovery, lead optimization, and preclinical development of monoclonal antibody therapeutics. He has published various peer-reviewed articles and participated in several conference presentations that included panel discussions, invited presentations, and peer-reviewed oral presentations.
