Jean-Pierre Lindenmayer, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Jean-Pierre Lindenmayer is the director of research at the Manhattan Schizophrenia Research Program-Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research, and clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine.

Dr. Lindenmayer’s research focuses on developing new treatments for schizophrenia, including contributions to the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and the InterSept Scale for Suicidal Ideation. He has also advanced digital methods for assessing and treating negative symptoms in schizophrenia.

Dr. Lindenmayer has published extensively in leading journals and presented at numerous national and international conferences. In 2022, he received the Lewis Opler, M.D. award from the New York State National Alliance for Mental Illness.
